1. Who we are

2. What PlotKnots is

PlotKnots is a web service for tabletop-RPG groups to co-ordinate plot threads, vote on group priorities, and (optionally, via a paid tier) use AI-suggest features to prep sessions faster. You use it at plotknots.com.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use PlotKnots to store or share illegal content, to harass others, or to run automated scraping. Group admins are responsible for what their group members post. We may suspend a group or account that breaches this. To report illegal or infringing content, email [FILL IN: business_email] — we aim to respond within 14 days and will remove or restrict content that is clearly unlawful.

4. Accounts, groups, and admins

You must be 13 or older to create an account. An account is tied to your email. A group is created by an admin and shared with players via a group URL and password. Admins can promote co-admins, edit group settings, and remove members. Delete-your-account requests reach us at [FILL IN: business_email].

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you write into PlotKnots (plot threads, notes, votes, GM prep content). By using the service you grant PlotKnots a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, back up, and process that content for the purpose of running the service, for the duration of your account plus the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Paid tiers and billing

Free tier grants full read/write plus a small monthly AI-suggest quota. Paid tiers (billed via Stripe) grant larger per-GM AI-suggest quotas. Quotas do not roll over. There is no overage billing — if you exceed a quota you can upgrade the tier pro-rata. See our Refunds policy for cancellation and refund terms.

7. Data and privacy

We hold the minimum data needed to run the service (email, group/thread content, AI-usage counters, Stripe billing metadata). See our Privacy Policy for full detail including retention and your rights under UK-GDPR.

8. Uptime and availability

PlotKnots is a small-scale service. We aim for continuous availability but do not offer an SLA. Planned maintenance is announced on the site header when possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of PlotKnots is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes are notified via the site and by email to account holders at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. AI-suggest content

AI-suggested content in PlotKnots is generated by machine models and may contain errors or hallucinations. You are responsible for reviewing and validating AI output before relying on it in your game or elsewhere.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
